About The Resource Hub
Welcome to The Neighborhood — hope lives here.
This is not just a community center.
The Resource Hub is visionary project that will transform the historic Adlai Stevenson School into an opportunity center that serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment and community revitalization. Located in the heart of one of Detroit’s most economically challenged neighborhoods, historically nameless and known as “The Neighborhood”, this state-of-the-art facility will bring together critical services including youth and workforce development, childcare, and health and wellness programs—all under one roof.
The Neighborhood has faced decades of disinvestment and hardship. This community, primarily Black and a part of Detroit’s 48204 zip code, has endured a long history of economic challenges, including rising poverty rates, a mass exodus of residents, and the impact of structural changes like the construction of I-96. Surveys have identified key needs in the community: food assistance, job training, community spaces, and childcare services. These challenges are compounded by a lack of infrastructure, which has left The Neighborhood underserved and disconnected.
This isn’t just a building. It’s a symbol of transformation in Detroit.
